Electronic music heavyweights take it on the road with west coast stalwart NOSAJ THING and southern icon TORO Y MOI coming together for THE NOVEMBER TOUR. The two will be joined by LA indie beat heads JOGGER for an undeniable bill of eclecticism and artistic mastery. Stereogum calls TORO Y MOI nee Chaz Bundick “some kind of Animal Collective-via-bedroom J Dilla” and Pitchfork called NOSAJ THING’s debut Drift “gorgeously haunted.” JOGGER is quickly becoming an LA favorite with sessions for KCRW and early positive reviews. All three artists share a love of electronics and can almost magically rock a crowd, using their requisite laptops and controllers, but the real treat will be the US tour debut of their much hyped visual shows produced by FAIR ENOUGH, the visual design duo from Los Angeles that has caught the attention of worldwide audiences. Both Toro and Nosaj have played these markets to full houses that yearned for more of their music. The musical pairing of synchronized visuals couldn’t be more perfect, as there’s tons of mutual admiration and open sourcing of beats going around this tour bus. Come out and see for yourself!

Saturday November 27
blasthaus presents
Bonobo (LIVE) / feat. Andreya Triana / Tokimonsta
Mezzanine, 444 Jessie St., San Francisco

BONOBO is back with the full band for an all out LIVE SHOW! What's it gonna be you ask? "Lots of live shit", says BONOBO ."Strings, horns, drums and vocals. More energy and a bigger, heavier sound".Bonobo returns to SF to celebrate his newest album, "Black Sands!" Ninjatune claims it's "oneof the best, most lovingly crafted and collectible limited edition releases Ninja Tune has ever put together."The new album draws onrhythms of two-step as the lush soundscapes for which he's best known. "Eyesdown" also features a remarkable vocal from Andreya Triana and enough fuzzed-out sub-bass for a binful of dubsteppers. Classic and contemporary, melancholy and exhilarating all at once, "Eyesdown" sounds like the kind of record Massive Attack could be making if they were starting out now.

Bonobo's music, on the surface, are the organic, pastoral atmospheres, the catchy melodies, the elements that caught people from his first album. You can engage with a Bonobo tune in that way if you wish, and will be well rewarded for it. But it's the deeper, slightly hidden levels that you should investigate, for they bring the greatest prize. It's these elements that he first explored on 'Dial M For Monkey', as a greater focus on live instruments, the intricacies of rhythm, the darker shades of the soul, and almost a sleight of hand, that meant that you could be in one mood one minute, and the next you would somewhere different. Featuring vocalist Andreya Triana and support from Tokimonsta keeps the tempo. Don't miss this!

If Daft Punk are the godfathers of both the original filtered French Touch sound and the recent Paris-centric maximalist blog-house scene, then Quentin Dupieux, AKA the elusive MR. OIZO, is their drunken wife-beating libidinous uncle: You can never tell in what state he is going to show up at the family reunion, and you're not sure you would want to be seen in public with him, but you know the party would definitely not be the same without him! Allright everyone heard the famous instrumental track "Flat Beat" which was used in two different commercials for the Levi's jeans brand, which also featured the puppet Flat Eric, created by Dupieux. Yes he's a filmmaker too. But ever since, he's been pumping out some of the most in-your-face dance tracks in France. After three stellar albums, and remixes for Kavinsky, Jamelia, Cassius, Scissor Sisters, Calvin Harris, etc., Oizo has been shredding up dancefloors all over the planet. Come see why as the Ed Banger French-electro sensation hits it hard, watch out SF! This is his debut SF appearance and we're proud to help bring the OIZO noise. With SF's own cosmic disco trio Boyz IV Men (live) ready to crank out bass-driven tracks that set the dance floor on fire. and Soundpieces Room with NastyNasty, Vinja, Benito, Epcot, Shane King and Sleazemore, Bogl and Dj Dials. Yep, it's gonna be nuts.
